Seven athletes and over 60 people on the team?

There is a storm surrounding the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee ahead of the Olympic Games.

On Friday evening, the 2024 Summer Olympics opened, and Zimbabwean athletes, just like other nations, jumped into the River Seine in Paris.

Seven Zimbabwean athletes will compete in the Olympics, but more Zimbabweans are said to have travelled to Paris to serve the nation.

Criticism has not been kind to the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee, which is said to have sent up to 67 people, in addition to the athletes, to France.

Indigenous journalist Hopewell Chin'ono is one of those who have reported on the alleged waste of public funds.
