Donald Trump donated money to Kamala Harris' re-election campaign

Before entering politics, Donald Trump donated a total of $6,000 to Kamala Harris's re-election campaign to remain California's attorney general.

In 2011, he donated $5,000 to Harris' campaign, and in February 2013, he donated another $1,000.

In the past, Harris has faced questions about whether Trump’s donations were linked to legal troubles at Trump University, the former president’s now-defunct school. Former students have said the Trump school misled them into spending thousands of dollars after promising them life-changing courses in real estate.

During Harris's time in office, the state took no action against Trump University, according to the report. Washington PostShe herself responded to these accusations and said that the donations had nothing to do with the decision.

The Democratic campaign has now been renamed “Harris for President.”

She now has about $96 million in cash to go around, and more is likely to be waiting as fundraising ramps up at the party convention in late August.
