Frankfurt – Tuesday, June 21, 2022, 9:13 pm
Eintracht Frankfurt continues to plan the team for next season even after signing Mario Gotze (more >>>).
According to “Sky” reports, Lucas Alario is on the verge of becoming the European League winner. Thus, the Hessians are already in agreement with the player. There has to be clarity now between Frankfurt and Leverkusen.
Eintracht pays a fixed transfer fee of €6.5 million – but only if certain performance criteria are met. In addition, “Adler” only has to transfer part of the amount to Leverkusen.
The medical examination can already take place on Wednesday. In Frankfurt, a contract must wait until 2025 for the 29-year-old Argentine.
Alario joined Leverkusen from River Plate in 2017 for €24 million. He scored 58 goals in 164 games for the Werkselv team.
Durm before moving to the second German league
There is still plenty to do on the departure side of Eintracht Frankfurt. For example, world champion Eric Dorm is said to be on the verge of switching to the second Bundesliga for 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
According to Sky, the 30-year-old full-back has already canceled his contract with Hessen and is expected to sign at Kaiserslautern soon.
