First loss in the third test match: FC Victoria was defeated by second-division team Hannover, by only 0:1

Third-tier football club Victoria suffered their first defeat in the third test match. After a success over national division representative Einheit Zbernik (11:0) and a 2:1 win over regional league club PFC Dynamo, Victoria coach Benedetto Musicato’s side lost 0:1 (0:0) to the second division Hannover 96 on Wednesday.

In front of about 500 spectators at the HDI Arena in Hannover, the third-class climber, who had been training since the beginning of June, had better chances than Lower Saxony, which had recently started training. But the only goal was scored by Lawrence Inali, who was substituted after the break (83rd minute).

Victoria kept well with the second division team in the first 45 minutes. Even after the change, Victoria coach Benedetto Mozzicato sent the same formation as in the first half, while Hanover coach Jan Zimmermann made ten changes. The rehearsed Berlin players had a great chance three minutes into the second half, but they failed at the Hannover goal.

Just an hour later Muzzicato changed three players for the first time without losing the flow of the game. Flexible newcomer Tolkay Segersey missed the hosts’ goal in the 69th minute. On the other hand, Mike Frantz pulled out tight after two minutes. Nine minutes before the end, several Victoria players missed the potential lead after a cross from a free kick. On the other hand, Enali performed better.

Victoria will play the fourth test match on Saturday. At 3:00 pm, the newcomer will compete in the training camp for League 1 competitor FC Magdeburg in Langlingen, Lower Saxony.
