Intermarché puts a lot of hope in its Norwegian sprinter Alexander Kristof

Norway’s Alexander Kristof will be the team principal of Intermarche during this summer’s Tour de France, which starts on Friday in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Winner of four stages in the past, former yellow jersey Alexandre Kristof will get Italian Andrea Pasqualon and France’s Adrien Petite to help him in the sprints. South African Louis Mintjes is aiming, renewed, for a place in the top ten in the general classification (eighth in 2016 and 2017), after the Belgian team announced its formation on Monday evening. Belgian Kobe Goossens and Dutchman Taco van der Horn, winner of last year’s stage at the Giro, will make their debut at the Grand Buckle.

“We will have ambitions from the first week, with a core centered around Alexandre Kristof, supported by Andrea Pasqualon and Adrian Petti, who will have good cards to play in the sprint or in the northern stages”appreciated the team leader, Jean-Francois Borlart. “With boys like Zimmermann, van der Horn or Bystrom, we will remain faithful to our offensive temperament because we know their qualities as adventurers. Finally, in the high mountains, we will count on Louis Meintjes (sixth in the last Dauphiné) »added the head of the Belgian team that will be at home, in Benchy, at the start of the sixth stage.
