Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the turn-based tactical RPG from studio XCOM Firaxis, was pushed back to 2022 last November. There hasn’t been an actual release date yet, but the developers said at least in May of this year that we should get one soon. A few days ago we also received a new trailer for the title, which showed off the progress the developers have made.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns release date has been leaked
It looks like some interesting things about the new title box art and pre-orders have now been leaked. The image associated with 2K Games has now been removed due to copyright claims, but how Explained by Nils Arensmeyer on TwitterMarvel’s Midnight Suns is scheduled for release on October 6, 2022. There will also be three different versions. The Standard and Enhanced Edition, which will include five distinct skins for Captain America, Captain Marvel, Magik, Nico Minoru, and Wolverine, a Legendary Edition with 23 distinct skins and the Season Pass, which will also include access to four bonus DLCs.
The leak also revealed which Marvel heroes will remain a part of the game. So far, we already know Doctor Strange, Magic, Iron Man Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, Captain America, Nico Minoro, and Captain Marvel among the twelve playable characters. They are now joined by Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch. The last unknown hero may be Dr. Michael Morbius, but don’t get your hopes up too high.
So far, of course, these are nothing more than rumors, but as mentioned earlier, the developers wanted to give us an official release date very soon. It’s not out of the question that Firaxis Games will share more information about their upcoming game at this year’s Summer Games Festival.
