The column of 46 vehicles with 143 Polish firefighters is already in Greece, the provincial headquarters of the state fire service in Wroclaw and the headquarters of the state fire service announced Monday evening.
Greece has been battling major fires for several days. At the initiative of Prime Minister Mathews Moravici, the Minister of Interior and Administration ordered the Commander-in-Chief of the State Fire Service to send firefighters to this country, who will support their Greek partners.

The catastrophic fire in the northern part of Athens caused two deaths. Thousands of people were evacuated.
