Boxes of steamed pizza lie on the street, evil Foot Clan fighters break into offices and mutated rhinos and punk pigs crack practical jokes all over town. Is this familiar to you? no? Then you probably don’t know the crazy story of turtles.
Comics, TV series and movies about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, who are trained by the Karate Mouse Splinter and stand up to the villain Shredder, have been around since the 80s – soon also on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Because in summer 2022, Dotemu and Tribute Games will release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
At this point you will find one videos from youtubewhich completes the article. You can view this with one click.
We were allowed to take a look at the first two levels of the 2D brawl, which is very reminiscent of the popular co-op title Streets of Rage 4 in terms of gameplay and appearance.
A special feature is couch co-op multiplayer, because four of you can play simultaneously on one screen. You can choose not only the four turtles, but also the Master Splinter and the reporter April, the turtle’s friend.
With powerful attack combos, you heat up opponents. You can diversify the attacks by holding down the attack button or combine it with the jump and dodge buttons. The attacks made from the sprint sprint also look different. You have few keys, but you have a variety of options to attack. This also includes a super attack when charging the corresponding bar.
The animation is very similar
The attack animation varies depending on the specific character. However, we feel that many of the shots are the same and the developers at Tribute Games could have made the animation more different.
Shredder’s Revenge is smooth, action-packed and, above all, loads of fun with a friend.
Charming graphics and great sound
Visually, the 2D title is a colorful dream with rich colors and beautiful models and backgrounds. The music is very melodic and fits perfectly with the gameplay. The opposing personalities elicit a lot of laughs with their behavior.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge
The new Turtles game features colorful 2D visuals, as these screenshots show.
For example, if you enter a room full of enemies, you will catch up with them doing all kinds of nonsense. Some enemies are playing Game Boy, pick up a wooden spoon in the kitchen and pretend they are working in the office. It’s always fun to keep exploring the levels.
Compared to Streets of Rage 4, it is also noticeable that the turtles only use their weapons and there are no optional items on Earth. Perhaps this is because these weapons are so iconic that fans cannot imagine Leonardo without swords, just as they cannot imagine Donatello without a wand.
There may be more objects in the later levels that you interact with. After all, you can blast barrels, destroy fire hydrants, and use pond slip traps to your advantage right from the start of the game.
Network world means
Teenate Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has the potential to offer a fun co-op experience not only to fans of the brand and the Streets of Rage. The gameplay is attractive, and the audiovisual presentation is clear and charming. The fact that four players can play on one screen at the same time makes the title at least as appealing as a slice of great-smelling pizza.
When the game release date is decided, you will of course know about it in the game release list. So far, Dotemu has only revealed that The Brave will appear in the summer of 2022.
Initially, you’ll only be able to secure the title digitally, but publisher Dotemu has also announced physical versions. However, these will only follow after release.
