Top 5 Best MMORPGs That You Should Try

Massively multiplayer online role-playing games, popularly known as MMORPGs, will have you playing them for months or even years. Millions of players from all over the world play such games every day. These games let you explore massive worlds filled with exciting activities to do. You can create your character, complete quests, collect items, engage in battles, and much more. And today, we are going to talk about the best MMORPGs which you should try.

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is a name every gamer has heard at least once. The game takes place in Azeroth, a world filled with brutal monsters for you to fight. After successfully creating your character, you can explore beautiful locations, complete different quests, and meet NPCs that can be found all over the map. Through different activities, you can earn WoW gold, which you can use to purchase items such as weapons, mounts, and much more.

Since its release in 2004, the game has received different updates through which the developers have added tons of new content and have made various changes to it as well. Its latest expansion was Shadowlands, which introduced major changes to World of Warcraft and made it even better. Even though it was released more than 15 years ago, World of Warcraft is still played by millions of players every month. This alone is enough to justify how amazing the game is.

Lord of the Rings Online

Being a fan of the Lord of the Rings series, this game has a special place in my heart. It takes place in Middle-earth, a world already seen in the mentioned series and The Hobbit. Lord of the Rings Online lets you choose from different playable races, including Dwarves, Hobbits, Men, Elves, High Elf, Beornings, and Stout-Axes Dwarves. After successfully choosing a race, you will need to select a class for your character.

The game lets players explore a world filled with amazing characters and tough enemies. You get the luxury to complete quests as well, through which you can earn gold, silver, and copper. These can be used to purchase various items that can help you on your journey. If you have a group of friends to play with, your team can also form a “Fellowship.” Afterwards, you can complete quests and different other activities together.

The Elder Scrolls Online

Next up, we have the Elder Scrolls Online. This MMORPG belongs to the critically acclaimed Elder Scrolls series. If you haven’t had enough of Skyrim even after completing it 100%, then you should proceed with playing The Elder Scrolls Online as it can fulfil your hunger. The game’s popularity can be seen from the fact that it has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. You get to explore the beautiful continent of Tamriel, and it’s set a millennium before the events of Skyrim.

The game combines all the elements from the other Elder Scrolls games and puts them into one. You get to choose from ten different races and then proceed with choosing a class for your character. The developers made sure not to miss even the tiniest of details, as you can even pickpocket every NPC you meet. If that isn’t the classic Skyrim experience, I don’t know what is. Since its release, the developers have released a plethora of content for it, so you’ll have plenty of stuff to enjoy while playing Elder Scroll Online.

Lost Ark

Lost Ark was first released in South Korea back in December 2019, but it was finally made available to the rest of the world in February 2022. This also makes it the latest MMORPG game on our list. Lost Ark offers a world where players can engage in PvE and PvP activities. Your main goal is to reach level 50 after you get access to the endgame content. From here onwards, your focus shifts to progressing through different tiers to enjoy more content such as high-level dungeons, raids, and much more.

Lost Ark also lets you choose a specific class for your character, and there are 15 of them. Each class has its advantages and disadvantages, so you need to choose the one that suits your playstyle the best. You can complete different quests that make you visit various islands, meet interesting NPCs, and collect items. There are also daily and weekly activities that you can complete to earn different kinds of rewards. Overall, Lost Ark is a pretty interesting MMORPG that will not disappoint you.

Black Desert Online

When it comes to having a gorgeous open world, there is no other MMORPG that can come close to Black Desert Online, at least in my opinion. The game is easily one of the most fantastic looking MMORPGs out there, and you won’t ever get tired of exploring its world. It focuses on the conflict between the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia.

The best part about Black Desert Online is that it lets you indulge in different activities, such as fishing, farming, and even housing. You get the luxury to decorate your house however you like, which can be done by either crafting furniture or purchasing it through various NPCs. You can also build your empire and set up a running business by hiring workers for it.

When it comes to combat, the game offers a fast-paced style in which you can even use mounts. However, these mounts aren’t like the ones you see in other games, as these require feeding and care. Otherwise, they’ll become weak. As Black Desert Online is an MMORPG, it also lets you engage in siege events that put many players against each other. You can also take part in castle battles, which are pretty fun.
