2022 World Rally Championship. Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Mikołaj Marczyk on Estonian gravel

Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Mikołaj Marczyk (both Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) will compete in the Rally Estonia, round seven of the World Championships, this weekend. Kajetanowicz is the WRC2 class leader after six events.

All drivers who occupy the first positions in the world championship general classification will initially stand in Estonia. The first will be Finn leader Kali Rovanpera (Toyota Yaris Rally 1), who is definitely leading with 145 points.

In 2021, Rovannber won in Estonia. This was his first ever win on the WRC World Championship Tour. Now, the Finn, led by John Haltonen, has racked up four consecutive victories in the last rallies, putting him ahead in the drivers’ standings.

– It’s good that we are going back to the tours in Estonia. The win last year was a great moment, and now we are in a different position to lead the championship. I love groupings like this that have quick and smooth sections. The Finn noted the importance of feeling confident in the car when driving at such high speeds.

Second place in the World Championship standings is Belgian Thierry Nouvel (Hyundai I20 Rally1) with 80 points. Estonian Ott Tanak (Hyundai I20 Rally1) finished third and is considered, along with Rovanopera, the main favorite to win.
