46 million PLN for the construction of a railway reloading station in Karsznicki

The ód Region Board of Directors has allocated PLN 46 million for the construction of a railway transhipment station in the Zduska Wola-Karsznice district (Lodz province) – said Grzegorz Schreiber, county marshal on Tuesday. Construction is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2023.

Information about the transfer of 46 million PLN by the regional authorities from the European Regional Development Fund for the construction of a transit station in Karsnes – the railway district of Zdowska Wola – was announced during the meeting in the series “Let’s talk in لودód”, which took place on Tuesday in Sadeq, Deaths by Zduńskowolski (Lodz Province).

“By the decision of the Lodz Region Board of Directors, PKP Cargo will receive funding from the Marshal’s Office to build a road and railway station in Karsnes. The dream that has existed in this region for many years is now coming true. So until now, no one has succeeded in making these dreams come true. I hope that We succeed. We are before signing the contract with the board of directors of PKP Cargo “- said Schreiber.

The Marshal indicated that he had been pursuing this investment for three years, and that the construction of the station would contribute to the development of Zduńska Wola. Local government officials have also attempted to build the station. “Steps have been taken by the city and the municipality, but it must also be clearly stated that in the period of the province’s autonomy, this most important step was taken. For the whole of Poland” – stressed Pawice Zyvczyk, Vice-President Zduńska Wola.

The multimodal terminal in Karsnes will be one of the largest logistics centers in Poland. It is located next to the 131st railway, which is important for the whole of Europe, and is close to the S8 and S14 motorways and the A1 and A2 motorways. PKP chief Cargo Dariusz Seliga noted.

Karsznice station – according to representatives of the regional authorities – will operate on 22 hectares of railway land. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of October 2023.
