Finland’s Lukas Hradecky is the third goalkeeper to save a penalty on his debut in the European Football Championship. Earlier, this play was performed by Dane Trols Rasmussen in 1988 and Przemysław Tytoń in 2012.
Hradecky, the 31-year-old goalkeeper of Bayer Leverkusen, saved in the 74th minute the Danish Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s shot from 11 meters. The match in Copenhagen was interrupted for almost two hours due to the fainting of Danish Christian Eriksen, and the hosts lost 0:1 as Finland made their European debut.

In 1998, Danish goalkeeper Rasmussen defended “11” Michel against Spain (2:3).
On the other hand, Tobacco did not allow the Greek Giorgios Karagounis to beat him with a penalty kick in the start of the 2012 European Championship at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Moments ago, Tytoń Wojciech replaced Szczęsny with a red card in the Polish goal.
