Pedronka tests postal services الخدمات
Jeronimo Martins Polska, owner of the Biedronka chain, decided to experimentally introduce postal services into his stores. This is the effect of developing cooperation with Poczt Polska. The introduction of the parcel group in the future will allow stores to open on all Sundays, because the current regulations contain an exception that is currently used by abka. According to the law, commerce can be conducted on Sundays at facilities where postal services are provided.
For more than two years, Poczta Polska customers have been able to collect parcels from parcel machines located in Biedronka stores. Recognizing the growing popularity of receiving parcels at points and vending machines, the company together with Jeronimo Martins Polska SA decided to expand the existing cooperation in a test mode. As a result, it will be possible to collect parcels directly from Pedronka stores during daily shopping – Submitted by Poczta Polska.

Postal services were introduced as a pilot as part of the tests, incl. In Pedronka in the ul. Skoroszewska 5B in Warsaw. This was confirmed by the press office of Jerónimo Martins Polska.
We have started testing the new service at several locations from over 3,000 stores in our network. The initiation of testing is to check for new job opportunities compatible with the current legal system. We will make decisions about the possible development and final form of this service after analyzing the results of the trial – Spokespersons for Pedronka told Wirtualnemedia.pl.
It should be noted that Biedronka currently trades on non-commercial Sundays at several of its institutions in Poland. One of them is a chain of stores at the Central Railway Station in Warsaw, which operates on an exception basis in connection with the opening of retail outlets at railway stations.
Ladybird will open on Sunday?
If the tests conducted by Jeronimo Martins Polska in cooperation with Poczt Polska are successful, it is likely that all Biedronka stores will be open on Sundays without circulation throughout Poland. Another chain of supermarkets will be opening their stores these days. Then supermarkets will be able to collect mailed items, for example, from the largest online clothing stores.
However, Biedronki may not open on non-commercial Sundays. The government is currently working on a new law that will cover a loophole, allowing large chain stores to open their outlets in days without trading. According to media reports: The government intends to amend the regulations in such a way that the amended law can enter into force before the end of the summer holidays. According to its content, stores that conduct postal activities on non-commercial Sundays are required to receive more than 50% of the profit from this activity.
Let us remind you that this year, only on 3 Sundays, we will shop in supermarkets and malls. it will be:
- August 29, 2021
- December 12 2021
- December 19 2021
