Camila Giorgi won in Montreal.
Camila Georgi defeated fourth-ranked Czech Carolina Bliskova in the final of the WTA 1000 tennis tournament at the hard-to-reach stadiums in Montreal. This is the third WTA event to be won in the life of a 29-year-old Italian.

This is the fourth consecutive defeat in the final. In the world rankings, Giorgi is ranked 71st and the Czechs are ranked sixth.
