One video among countless others about someone who set sail for long-distance sailing. If you can believe it – but what separates this from the majority of others is the above three things. It is about a man of only 19 years of age with an unusually modest and relaxed appearance, reproducing everyday life at sea straight up and down without arranging anything at all.

2,400 nautical miles for adventure

But of course this will change and soon one challenge after another will arise where everything from silence and leaks in the ceiling to difficulty sleeping are just a few examples. Furthermore, the young adventurer should be rudely reminded of the importance of properly storing his belongings inside the boat.

But most of all, it is an unabashed, free-spirited video memoir of daily life at sea and what happens to boats and solo sailors during long periods at sea. Garrett's presence has an unusually rational and sober outlook – until now. Because when he turns off the camera for the last time in this episode, there are still several days left at sea. It thrives in bad weather

The boat he is sailing is the American Nor'Sea 27, or Norsea 27 as it is also called. A small but powerful cruiser designed by Lyle Hess with a reputation for being exceptionally seaworthy. Not least when the sea is at its most turbulent.
