When Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny was poisoned during a flight in the summer of 2020, he was sent to the emergency hospital in Omsk after the plane made an emergency landing.
Hospital staff initially stated that he had problems with digestion, then later said that he could have been sedated with anti-psychotic medication.
A short time later, Navalny flew a chartered plane to Berlin, where doctors at the Charité Hospital discovered that he had been poisoned.
Alexander Murakovsky, head of the emergency hospital in Omsk, denied that he was under pressure from the Russian state for not providing him with proper care.
Alexander Murakovsky has now disappeared. He was last seen in a jeep while hunting. CNN writes.
