AMD Presents the Ryzen 7000 Series at Computex 2022
AMD confirms that the Ryzen 7000 series will be released this fall.
Unfortunately, there are no SKUs or a release date for the Ryzen 7000 series, but AMD is bringing its next-generation mainstream desktop series to Computex tomorrow, along with its X670E, X670, and B650 motherboards.
AMD confirms that the Ryzen 7000 series will support the PCIe Gen5 standard in addition to DDR5 memory technology. LGA1718 socket maintains compatibility with AM4 coolers. In addition, rumors about TDP’s powerful SKUs have been confirmed. The next-gen AM5 socket will support up to 170W, but that wasn’t specifically mentioned on the Ryzen 7000.

In terms of performance, AMD claims that its Zen4 core architecture offers a 15% boost on a single thread (unfortunately we don’t have footnotes explaining what it’s being compared to here), 2 times more L2 cache (1MB) per core and Max Boost over 5GHz. .
Plus, AMD has finally revealed what’s under the new heatsink. There are two Zen4 5nm cores and 6nm I/O cores. There is clearly no place for a third CCD, but there is no way of knowing how this design will implement in future generations.

AMD also confirms that the Zen4 desktop CPU will have integrated RDNA2 graphics. The new Ryzen 7000 series of desktop computers is officially scheduled to launch “this fall,” but that’s the exact date.
