Arrest of pro-Ukrainian paramilitaries in St. Petersburg – “planned poisoning”

The Russian Security Service announced that four people had been arrested who, according to Russia, planned to launch attacks on Russian territory.

They are said to have planned to poison food intended for Russian soldiers with a highly toxic substance, the Federal Security Service said in a statement. According to information, the detainees also surveyed important infrastructure and travel centers with the aim of planning attacks.

In recent days, volunteer units fighting alongside Ukraine attacked Russian areas near the Ukrainian border. The Russian Freedom Corps (LSR), the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), and the Siberian Battalion (SB) are largely composed of Russian opponents of the Kremlin with fairly obvious collaboration with the Ukrainian military establishment.

Attacks are also carried out by air. On Thursday night, the Russian border regions of Belgorod and Kursk were attacked for the third day in a row by Ukrainian drones, according to Moscow. Most of the drones were shot down over Belgorod, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense. It is said that one person was killed and several others were injured.
