Cyberpunk 2077 fans have introduced a mod that allows you to run the game with FSR 2.0, which is to provide a very significant increase in frame rate with minimal degradation in image quality. Let’s check how the conversion compares with AMD FSR 1.0 and NVIDIA DLSS.
For several days now, Cyberpunk 2077 fans have been able to use the mod by PotatoOfDoom (Available for Free In Nexus Mods), which brings FSR 2.0 support to the game. Of course, this is an unofficial feature at the moment. FidelityFx Super Resolution 2.0 is not implemented by the game developers.
According to the mod’s creator, the effects of installing it are really amazing, although there may be some bugs.
“My GTX 1080 now supports Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K resolution with 45fps animation, which is a double improvement with minimal image degradation. The mod is compatible with AMD, Intel and NVIDIA GPUs”- wrote the mod author.
Checked how this mod compares to DLSS and FSR 1.0 by MXBenchmark editors. As you can easily guess, due to the fact that this is an unofficial modification, DLSS 2.4 is still technology, it is definitely the best. However, already, in modified form, FSR 2.0 seems to generate better visual effects than FSR 1.0. So it is worth thinking about installing the PotatoOfDoom mod. Files can be downloaded Free from Nexus Mods.
By the way, I encourage you to compare the image quality in FSR 2.0 and DLSS in Farming Simulator 22. It turns out that AMD is already catching up and even ahead of NVIDIA in some aspects of image quality.
