The new recommendations from Sweden’s Public Health Agency now apply to all travelers who have stayed in a country outside the Nordic region in the past seven days. These travelers are encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible after arriving in Sweden, preferably on the same day. The call applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, and even if you have had covid-19 in the past six months. It also applies to people who have tested negative in connection with entry. Children under preschool age are excluded.

The new measures come on top of previous specific recommendations adopted by the Public Health Agency on November 26, which apply to travelers from the countries of South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Eswatini.
