Paulo Sousa, Flamengo coach.
Flamengo beat Sao Paulo in the Brazilian League match on Sunday. Paulo Sousa’s players won 3:1.
The match was better started by the players led by the former coach of the Polish national football team. Gabriel Barbosa, better known as Gabigol, gave the hosts the lead in the 25th minute. Even before the break, Jonathan Calleri managed to equalize.
In the second half, Flamengo proved their superiority with a second goal. The 2:1 hit was scored by Maurizio Isla. The ex-Juventus player arrived on the field in the 64th minute, defeating Gandri five minutes later. A few moments later the score was 3: 1. This time the goal was scored by Giorgian de Arrasquet, who – as it seemed – scored the result of the match.
For Flamengo, it was their first Brazilian Premier League win of the season. In the first round, Sousa team drew 1-1 with Atlético Guianins.
