A high-rise building burns in central London, reports Aftonbladet newspaper. The London Fire Service states its website website Twenty fire engines and about 125 firefighters are battling the blaze on the 17th floor of Whitechapel.
Firefighters use one of their 64-meter ladders to fight the fire in the high-rise, 21-storey building that houses apartments and offices.

The city police stated that the building was evacuated and there were no reports of injuries. BBC writes. According to the news channel, the city’s ambulance service advised people to close windows and stay indoors.
The cause of the fire is still not clear.
