The first snow fell above 800 meters above sea level a few days ago. Today, a thin layer of white fluff covers Świeradów-Zdrój and the roads at this altitude. The first collisions didn’t take long.
At noon, on the Sudecka Road that connects Świeradów-Zdrój to Szklarska Poręba, conditions are really tough. The falling snow covered the asphalt in a thin layer that began to freeze as she drove. We didn’t have to wait long for the effects.
Around 13, a passenger collision occurred between Citroen and Renault in the section between Rozdroże Izerski and Zakręt Śmierci. The driver of another car (Skoda) tried to avoid collision with wrecked cars, tried to stop the side of the road. As a result, he fell off the road and the car drove into the woods. Two people involved in this incident were taken to hospital. According to DLW112, the road conditions were so difficult that emergency services also had trouble reaching the wounded.
The road was closed for several hours. Unfortunately, at that time there were other events, even the Toyota Raw4 off-road driver, who also fell off the road, did not avoid losing control of the car. The situation only calmed down when a few sand makers from the area were sent there. At the moment, the DW 358 can already be used.
