Kim tied herself to a buried car: ‘Tired of using wind power’

The demonstration against the Twin Peaks wind farm in Sollefteå began early Sunday.

The activists wrote in a press release that “a number of committed citizens saw it necessary to draw attention through direct action, and try to stop” the construction, which they believe is a “cruel exploitation of the northern countryside.”

According to the SVT reporter at the site, most of the activists are at the site, one of whom is sitting in a car buried underground. Others are sitting on a tree.

Police on site

The police are also present to talk to the protesters.

Wind energy has always been the subject of intense discussion in Sollefteå municipality.

The activists behind the demonstration are now calling for wind energy projects to be halted in Salcho, Rancho and Faberge.

Wind energy company Arise, which is leading the project to build wind power in the region, was surprised by the work. When SVT Västernorrland contacted the CEO, Joachim Kaham, he wasn’t aware of everything.

President: “The Grace of Jesus”

He accessed the SVT Västernorrland website during the conversation.

– pity Jess, he cried when he saw the picture of the buried car across the road to the construction site.

– If it wasn’t terrible for us, it would almost be fun. Great picture.. you don’t know if you should laugh or cry.. what people can come up with next.

He’s never seen anything like it

Later on Monday, company CEO Per-Erik Eriksson will call. He is not enjoying it.

We have submitted a report to the police about vandalism and abusive measures. We hope to resume work as soon as possible, he says.

What do you say about the campaign?

– Yes… (sigh)… We have no experience with this kind of thing. We’ve never seen anything like it before. Looks like we’re back in the seventies.
