The width of TVs with relatively small diagonals with OLED matrices is not very wide – the more the model announced by LG with a 42-inch matrix was expected. However, we will have to wait for this debut as well.
According to information received directly from Korea, the 42-inch OLED model, which was announced in January as part of this year’s TV show, unfortunately won’t be available for sale this year. Reports indicate that The TV will be presented again at CES 2022 in January.
LG OLED G1
There are many indications that it will be a model intended for gamers, and its capabilities will work in tandem with the new generation consoles, ie PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. So we can count on having a connector HDMI 2.1 for 4K resolution at 120Hz, plus support for Variable Refresh technology and a solution that reduces input lag.
Other TV manufacturers will likely follow LG as well – the 42-inch OLED panel is being built in the LG Display factories, which means it will be available to other companies.
