An 11-year-old boy disappeared this evening from a school camp in Finnmark, Norway.

According to witness statements in Norwegian media, he likely fell into the river.

– We are fully searching the area where he was last seen, says Police Operations Commander Anne Rijmur Söderholm to VG.

Divers, at least one helicopter and several specially trained dogs are also participating in the effort.

Witnesses are said to have seen the boy being swept away by the river's strong current.
