Paulo Fonseca is the favorite to beat Newcastle United.

Foreign journalists agree that Paulo Fonseca is the main candidate to become the new coach of Newcastle United. The Portuguese becomes the first coach of the “new” Newcastle, recently managed by an investment fund from Saudi Arabia.

Fonseca came close to joining the Premier League early this summer when he appeared to be the favorite to take over Spurs. In the end, the club presidents from London chose his compatriot – Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 48-year-old is set to sign a three-year contract with Newcastle and earns around £6m a year.
