what happened? Beware of misinformation!
While some service providers have officially confirmed that there are longer issues with the operation of their Internet services, in the case of some websites they were only temporary. Why did it happen? We can assume that the morning problems with accessing the Internet are simply caused by … A lot of Internet traffic related to the situation in Ukraine. This means that internet servers and mobile network transmitters can simply be overloaded with too many users.
However, in this case, it is worth being careful about misinformation. While some of the reports were true, some of them may have been attempts by dishonest reporters to create panic. Besides, some internet users have already denied reports of problems running certain services. Do not forget that Downdetector is based on reports that any Internet user can send. For this reason, this tool can unfortunately be used as another ingredient to spread panic.
Once again, we urge you to remain calm and carefully check the information we find on the web. All this is to avoid similar confusion that occurred at petrol stations in recent days.
