The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management estimates that its revenue next year will reach nearly PLN 5.1 billion, or more than 70 percent. More than expected this year. The increase in revenue is mainly due to the funds planned from the sale of carbon dioxide emissions allowances by the European Commission (PLN 900 million from the Modernization Fund), taking into account the revenue from the Emission Reduction Transfer Fund from the emission fee (390 million PLN) and the receipt of a fee Alternative under the Law on Energy Efficiency (355 million PLN) – resulting from the spending plan submitted by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management to PAP.

What will the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEPWM) pay for?

PLN 1.95 billion will be spent on replacing old stoves and thermal modernization of buildings under the Clean Air Program. The “My Electricity” program, that is, support for photovoltaic cells, will be financed in the amount of PLN 660 million. In the first or second quarter of 2022, the fourth version of this program will begin – on a larger scale than in previous versions, providing not only subsidies for photovoltaic panels, but also, among other things, energy storage or electric car chargers.

The fund’s spending plan for next year also shows that PLN 900 million will be allocated to support low-emissions transport, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and hydrogen refueling infrastructure.

As part of investments aimed at sustainable management of environmental resources, adaptation to climate change, and improvement of environmental quality, the fund wants to spend more than 1 billion PLN in 2022, support environmental monitoring activities, adaptation to climate change, and environmental protection. Water resources by increasing the retention of private property – 440 million PLN.

The program, which was very popular in previous years, “My Water” will also continue. Owners of private property can receive up to 5,000. PLN subsidies for, among other things, rainwater retention facilities on private property.
