The Prime Minister hosted the Nordic Summit with the German Chancellor

The summit began with the Nordic Heads of Government discussing the competitiveness of the Nordic countries with business representatives from each country. The meeting ended with the countries signing a joint declaration to facilitate Nordic competitiveness, growth, and increased security.

Later in the day, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz joined and the leaders visited Ericsson in Kista. After the tour, the Nordic heads of government and the German Chancellor held discussions on security policy issues such as hybrid threats, civil preparedness and new technologies.

– It is important for Sweden and Europe to intensify work on securing the infrastructure for the future and to ensure that the appropriate conditions are provided for the world of research and the world of business. Regarding hybrid threats and questions about our civilian resilience, I attach great importance to today's talks, which bear witness to great consensus on the common challenges we face and on the way forward, says Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

At the end of the day, a joint press meeting was held with all the heads of government of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Germany. During dinner in the evening, continued support for Ukraine and issues related to NATO were discussed.
