Here you can check what it looks like when a satellite in orbit around the Earth shoots itself in 4K using a GoPro camera.
It’s the private space company NanoAvionics that has installed a GoPro Hero 7 and a custom-built selfie stick on one of its self-developed satellites with the model designation MP42. The satellite was launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in April. In addition to taking a rather bold selfie, the camera was also used to verify that the satellite system was working properly.
Above is the clip captured by the GoPro camera as the satellite flew over the Great Barrier Reef off Australia at an altitude of 550 km. Below is a clip of the naked GoPro Hero 7 camera and accompanying selfie stick mounted on the NanoAvionics MP42 satellite.
