None of the players showed any initiative to accelerate. Perera continues to dig Strickland’s calf. Suddenly, “Boton” threw an august blow, after which the American fell to the mat. Strickland stands up for a moment, but the Brazilian adjusts with a perfect straight, after which Tarzan is knocked unconscious. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. “Poatan” earned his third straight win in the UFC system. Thus, he moved closer to fighting for the middleweight championship belt.
