35 drones were shot down over Russia overnight, four of them in the Moscow region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. A fifth person was stopped in the morning near Domodedovo Airport in Moscow, according to the mayor Sergey Sobyanin. Injuries have been reported.
Two more drones were reportedly shot down over the Kaluga and Yaroslavl regions near the capital. Yaroslavl is located about 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, and the attack there is one of the longest attacks carried out by Ukraine to date.
Another refinery
Several drones were also shot down, according to Russian data that is difficult to verify, in the regions of Belgorod, Krasnodar, Kursk and Rostov, which border Ukraine.
According to the Belgorod governor, a teenage girl was killed.
In recent weeks, Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Russian oil infrastructure and struck oil refineries. There were Russian reports on Saturday of attacks on two refineries.
In Krasnodar, an oil refinery caught fire after it was hit by a Ukrainian drone, according to the Ministry of Defense. The fire at the facility is said to have been later extinguished.
Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported that a worker at the oil refinery died of a heart attack as a result of the attack.
Drones over Odessa
