In early May, IO Interactive announced that the long-awaited Freelancer mode will be delivered to Hitman 3 with a delay. As a consolation, we have received confirmation that a brand new free map will be appearing in the game. We just received its trailer and the exact date of its release.
The map is called Ambrose Island, which hides many dangers and secrets. This tropical island is a hidden bay that is home to a dangerous pirate guild operating in the Andaman Sea. Armed criminals will undoubtedly be a difficult opponent to defeat, so players must prepare for this challenge. The map will be published on July 26.
Welcome to Ambrose Island, a brand new sandbox location coming to HITMAN 3 on July 26th.
This tropical island is a hidden bay that is home to a dangerous pirate guild operating in the Andaman Sea and many hidden secrets. This fully exploreable sandbox location is packed with new objectives, gameplay options, challenges and unlockable rewards, and it’s free for all HITMAN 3 owners.
As for the Freelancer mode, it will be released in the second half of this year, but we still haven’t gotten a specific announcement. This mode will introduce roguelike elements to the game, which will also appear in the story campaign missions. Players will even be able to customize their new base. The creators explained that this situation required more work and therefore decided to postpone its premiere. You can find additional information on this topic on the official website.
At the same time, we would like to remind you that Hitman 3 was released on January 20, 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. We also encourage you to read our review of this excellent production.
