Following the election of Patrice Motzeb as the new President of the CAF at the 43rd CAF Congress in Rabat (Morocco), the task of promoting African football on the world stage has begun for the new Executive Committee. Motcep not only leads the modernized African Union, but also an organization that sees significant changes at the level of the CAF Executive Committee and the FIFA Council after further elections.

Mathurin de Sagas (Benin), Isha Johansson (Sierra Leone), Fouci Lexa (Morocco), Amaju Finnick (Nigeria) and Uncle To Tour (Mali) will join the FIFA Council with Honey Apo Rita (Egypt) Kanisat Ibrahim (Comoros) and Embombo Noyoya (Cameroon) were elected to the FIFA Executive Committee.
