Following the election of Patrice Motzeb as the new President of the CAF at the 43rd CAF Congress in Rabat (Morocco), the task of promoting African football on the world stage has begun for the new Executive Committee. Mathurin de Sagas (Benin), Isha Johansson (Sierra Leone), Fouci Lexa (Morocco), Amaju Finnick (Nigeria) and Uncle To Tour (Mali) will join the FIFA Council with Honey Apo Rita (Egypt) Kanisat Ibrahim (Comoros) and Embombo Noyoya (Cameroon) were elected to the FIFA Executive Committee. There were also regional appointments, with Wadi Zari (Tunisia) representing the Northern Region and Elvis Raja Chetty (Seychelles) and Maglian Letshvity (Botswana) representing the Southern Region.
