Looks like it’s been a while since we’ve received it Sonic Frontiers teaser, showing a short part of the game (Because it was), and we can already watch the seven-minute material entirely dedicated to the world created by the Sonic team. We also know that Sega has a lot of hope for this release and Depends on the best grades. The creators had to put a lot of effort, because this is the first time we are dealing with an open world in Sonic games. If everything goes as planned, then Sonic Frontiers will serve as the basis for the next parts.
In the material presented, we can see the ways we are going to go through it and some side activities or puzzles. It all looks very interesting, but what was missing (especially when comparing the gameplay to the teaser) were opponents or something that could prevent us from playing for a longer time. Without it, the presented world seems completely empty and monotonous.
However, it seems that all of this was intentionally removed, or at least that’s the conclusion that comes to my mind. Perhaps the creators don’t want to reveal much before the premiere or have decided that not everything is ready yet and showing it in an unfinished state can only hurt.
We’re still missing the official release date for Sonic Frontiers, but we know it’s coming out this year on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
