Rafał Majka has not raced for a long time recently, but he has finally returned to the competition. Polish cyclist takes part in a tour of Slovenia. On Wednesday, June 15, the first phase took place, in which competitors had to cross the 164.7 km route from Nova Gorica to Postojna.

No one expected that 32-year-old cyclist would get so lucky for Slovenia. Majka won the first stage and showed his strength in the end when he fought fiercely with two opponents.

The battle for victory began about 2 km before the finish line. The UAE team left the Emirates pole at one point with Doman Novak (Bahrain Victorius) and Tadej Bokhar (UAE team Emirates). After crossing the finish line, he was two seconds ahead of them.

Stage success is not just the success of the pole. Majka at the same time became the leader in the general, mountain and point classification. Interestingly, he last won the stage in August last year and that was during Vuelta a Espana.
