Although the first version of FidelityFX Super Resolution technology was designed by AMD for use on PCs, a collaboration with Microsoft resulted in support for the Redmond giant’s latest consoles – the Xbox Series X and S.
So it is not surprising that with the announcement of the second generation of this tool, AMD confirmed it FSR 2.0 will also appear on the latest devices from Microsoft. At the moment, it is not known when it will happen – it is known that the appearance of the second generation of this upgrading technology on PCs will occur in the second quarter of this year. It is very likely that this will happen shortly on consoles.
Right now, we don’t yet know what titles will receive support for FSR 2.0 on the new Xbox — it’s very likely that Bethesdta’s Deathloop will come first, as well as Square Exni’s new tag, Forspoken. These titles will be the first that will be supported by AMD’s second generation upgrade on PCs.
