As reported by Bloomberg, citing developer dailies, Apple internally tests several variants of the next-generation M2 chip And Upgraded Mac computers to be equipped with. There are “at least” nine new Macs in the pipeline, which use four different types of M2 chips as backgrounds to existing M1 chips.

  • Mac Pro, which will be the successor to the M1 Ultra chip used in Mac Studio.

Apple also tested the M1 Max version of the Mac mini, but the launch of the Mac Studio could make such a device redundant, so Apple may stay with the M2 and M2 Pro chips while the Mac mini gets updated.
