On Saturday, No. 8, Hargas (12th in the ATP rankings) defeated Australian Alexei Bobrin 6: 1, 7: 5. At this point, Diafo defeated his teammate Sebastian Corda 6: 0, 6: 4.
Hargas has competed with Diafo three times so far and won once – in 2019 at Winston-Salem, presenting his first title to a Vrosco player in a tournament. In 2018, he was an American winner twice – in Washington and in the “Youth” Masters competition.
The highest-ranked Polish tennis player in the doubles tournament finished the first round on Friday. Along with Canadian Felix Agar-Aliasim, they lost to India’s Rohan Bopanna and Canadian Denis Shapovalov 1: 6, 6: 2, 4-10.
