The creators of Battlefield 2042 have admitted that the yet-to-be-revealed shooter unit will offer maps from previous parts of the series that fans love.
The information was provided by Christian Grass – the general manager of the Ripple Effect studio, which is working on a mysterious game mode. He talked about the alternative during the online panel discussion on the future of shooters, organized by EA yesterday.
– I can’t say much about Unity, but I will reveal that one of the elements of the option we are creating are the maps that fans will love, which will be back in Battlefield 2042. However, you will have to wait a little longer before we give the details – he says, quoted by Pure Xbox.
Grass’ statement partially coincides with unofficial news. Famous detective Tom Henderson argues that the so-called Battlefield Hub is a mysterious mode – a variant that will combine locations, vehicles and weapons from various stages of the course.
According to the netizen, Unity will not focus on competition or balanced gameplay, but only pure fun. For example, in a single match, players will use tanks from the first Battlefield 1 and modern Battlefield 3. The option itself will be revealed on July 22 at the EA Play Live conference.
Battlefield 2042 will launch on October 22nd.
