Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised to provide a second aid amounting to billions of dollars within several days. The aid allocated for military purposes was revealed during his visit to Belgium. This comes after the Spanish support that came on Monday when Zelensky visited Madrid.

In addition to military support amounting to approximately eleven billion Swedish krona, Belgium will also send 30 F-16 aircraft over four years to Ukraine.

Zelensky says the first F-16 will be able to be deployed in Ukraine already this year.

On Monday, the president signed a security agreement with Spain that means, among other things, the equivalent of about 11 billion crowns in military aid in 2024 and up to 60 billion crowns by 2027.

This support is welcomed at a time when the European Union faces Hungary's objections to the joint military aid that the European Union provides to Kiev.

Since Russia began its spring offensive in the eastern parts of Kharkiv, Zelensky has reiterated several times that the needs are great. Due to the situation in Kharkiv, the president earlier in May canceled his trips to Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

Portugal is the final destination on Zelensky's European tour, which he will continue after Belgium.
