In a detailed special video, the editors of Digital Foundry have selected the most graphically impressive game of the year. Several PlayStation 5 exclusive titles such as Housemarque’s “Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart” or Housemarque’s “Returnal” are also part of the game.
At the end of an eventful year for video games, it is time for many to take a look at the past twelve months and review the best games.
In this year’s review, the editors of Digital Foundry tackled the most technically impressive video games of 2021 and picked what they consider the best graphic games of the past 12 months. At the top was the action platformer Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from Insomniac Games, which scored above all thanks to its lovingly designed game world and many great graphic effects.

Housemarque’s working title “Returnal” is another title in the top three that was released exclusively for the PlayStation 5. Other titles that, according to Digital Foundry, are among the best graphic games of the year include “Lego Builders Journey” and “Forza” Horizon 5″ and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions of “Metro Exodus”.
