Estimated Women’s World Cup 2023. Belgium – Poland: score and coverage – football

The Polish women came to Belgium to finish second in Group F, just two points behind the favorite Norwegian, and their Tuesday opponents were just one step ahead. The start of the sixth round seemed to be the main meeting of the entire qualifying round.

This was the third time they played for the Belgians. In September 2015, they lost 0: 5, and two months earlier they tied after the goal of Ewa Bajor 1: 1, absent in Leuven.

Bad good beginnings

After scoring goals, Nina Batalon’s team enthusiasm faded. The participants in the European Championships next year followed the blow and after a quarter of an hour the score was 2: 0. The Polish goalkeeper still defended Tessa Woolaert’s shot, but Hana Eurlings was helpless in the face of the rebound. Five minutes later it was 3-0, when Janice Kayman made a fatal mistake from the team from distance.

After the break, the game picture has not changed. The fourth blow to the Belgians was the work of Polish defender Magorzata Misiasz.

In the end, the Polish women tried to score an honorable goal, but Nikki Everr finally kept a clean sheet in this match.

Difficult situation in the group

After the defeat, Poland got 11 points in its calculation and took third place in the ranking table. The Norwegian players lead (13 points, one game behind schedule) ahead of the Belgians (also 13 points). The next match will be played by Piao Zironi in April 2022, and their opponent will be players from Armenia.

The 2023 World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand. The winners of the group will advance directly to them, and the second-seeded teams will play in the play-offs. The top two teams will be guaranteed promotion, and the third will get another chance at an Intercontinental Championship with 10 teams.

32 teams will appear at the event, including two hosts without having to play in the playoffs.
