Several units of the Norwegian Rescue Service were called to Oslo’s Gardermoen Airport on Wednesday after reports of a major fire in the Norwegian state stockpile. Dagbladet.

Warning of dangerous smoke

– We have fire control, but we will be doing demolition and post-extinguishing work for a while. It shouldn’t smoke as much now, but as much as it smokes, it’s still toxic, chief security officer Espen Stapel tells VG at 2 p.m.
No one should be injured by the fire and the smoke should not cause any problems to air traffic.

At 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, the fire brigade announced that a subsequent firefighting operation was underway at the site.
They will continue to do the firefighting work for the rest of the afternoon to ensure that the fire does not risk igniting again.
– Resources are constantly decreasing, the fire service reports according to Dagbladet.
