– Conversely, the world would be doomed if I did not make it to the finals – says Fajtek. – It’s dramatic, stress is the worst thing in my life. This result is good. I did what I could, it seems to me that I defeated my demons as much as I could – he adds.

Eventually, they advanced to the polar final after weak results in the second qualifying rounds.

Two medals now?

– I played these deletions in my head many times and I was ready for such a difficult situation. It followed me for nine years. It paralyzes – Fajtech trusts us. – I firmly believe in advancing to the finals. And the final one is a completely new game.

Fajtech confirms that the final will not be so stressful. There it has not three but six throws. Jumping time is well over 80 meters. This season he threw 82.98m – the longest distance in the world.

This is best illustrated by his statement on how much he was stressed by the Eliminations: – I could not sleep. I went to bed at two and I already woke up at five to six. Final arrangements: I checked the bag 46 times to see if I had everything. I had a quick breakfast: a slice of pizza for breakfast, a little juice and a departure. There was already a bus at 7.05.
