It is the S74 motorway in the section of the Przełom / Mniów – Kielce West junction. Eight companies and consortia joined the tender to implement this investment.
– The bid committee selected the Mirbud and Kobylarnia consortium as the most advantageous bid, which estimated the construction cost at PLN 537.7 million, says Onet Małgorzata Pawelec, a spokesman for the Kielce branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Highways. – One of the conditions for signing the contract with the selected contractor is not to appeal the decision of the Tender Committee – he adds.
The main road of the county Świętokrzyskie
Let us remind you that the Przełom / Mniów section – Kielce West junction is another investment, after bypassing Opatów, related to the construction of the S74 motorway, which is being implemented in the district. Świętokrzyskie as part of the Government’s National Road Construction Program. The investment is of great importance not only for drivers traveling on the Łódź – Kielce – Rzeszów route, but also comprehensively solves the problem of getting from suburban areas to Kielce.
– Currently, the DK74 when entering and exiting Kielce towards Mniów and Miedziana Góra is often congested. The new S74 dual carriageway will make it easier for residents to reach the provincial capital. The S74 motorway will improve road connectivity between ódź, Świętokrzyskie and Subcarpathian voivodeships. In the end, residents will also have a safe and fast connection to the motorway junctions on the A1 and A2 – assures Małgorzata Pawelec.
Let us add that as part of this investment, a section of a dual carriageway with a total length of about 16.4 km will be designed and built, which will be operated primarily by a new route through the communes: Mniów, Miedziana Góra and Strawczyn. There will also be 12 bridges, two bridges and animal crossings. Everything will be ready in just over three years.
