Of nearly every other European leader, Georgia Meloni’s victory was met with silence. As of Tuesday afternoon, there were no official reactions from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal or Austria, to name a few.

And that the common goal within the EU and NATO is to keep Europe safe and prosperous and to help Ukraine fight Russian aggression.

It is expected to take until the end of October before a new government is formed in Rome with Georgia Meloni as prime minister. It remains to be seen if the congratulations will come instead.
