MediaTek Dimensity 1300 – Another Snapdragon Ark Screw

MediaTek Dimensity 1300 has been officially launched. Supports screens up to 168Hz, up to 16GB of RAM and arrays up to 200MP. What has changed compared to its predecessor?

2022 has no right to be written in gold in the history of Snapdragon. MediaTek is taking advantage of the situation, this time offering an inexpensive media processor. MediaTek Dimensions 1300 Officially debut.

MediaTek Dimensity 1300 Will Drive Powerful Media in 2022

The new SoC is, of course, a direct successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, one of the most successful processors of 2021. The new model does not bring many changes, but is made in newer lithography. This should translate into better energy management and lower temperatures. It will be a direct competitor to the Snapdragon 778, which was also produced in 6nm lithography.

Dimensity 1300 also has the latest Cortex A78 cores. Their timing has not changed, which only confirms my belief that the SoC will be cooler and will reduce energy consumption. It will not make any changes in graphics performance, because the GPU is exactly the same (Mali G77). The new IPS supports matrices up to 200 megapixels.

From the news, we still have support for a maximum of 16 GB of RAM, screens with a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels and refresh rates of up to 168 Hz. We’ll likely see the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 debut on the occasion of the OnePlus Nord 2T premiere. The smartphone is supposed to hit stores in the second quarter of 2022.
