Microsoft has implemented several changes in Windows 11, the goal of which is to run faster on computers with this operating system.
That’s why the tech giant will remove one of the changes it made in 2019, when it added a search feature to Windows File Explorer that makes it easy to navigate OneDrive’s cloud storage.

This option is only useful for users who store a large number of files using the Microsoft cloud. In contrast, for users who use Google Drive and others, the feature is useless. All this made the explorer run slower on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

File Explorer is a very integral option of Windows, because if it is running slow, it gives the perception that the whole computer is slow, although this is not the case.
Microsoft will solve this problem in the next Windows 11 update, the new version of which will have the ability to disable Office.com integration in the browser.
By disabling this integration, Windows 11 will stop trying to connect to the Internet and search for files online. With this, the operating system will run much smoother and faster.

In addition to bug fixes, tools similar to those in Windows Vista will also return. Now, the name will be widgets (as in macOS) and will only be shown on a dashboard dedicated to Windows 11, where they will not be added to the desktop (as in macOS).
